LaNotizia

My Fellow Paisans,

As we move into Fall, we now look forward to cooler weather, football, more family spaghetti dinners and falling leaves in our neighborhood. With the St Gabriel Festival being held in August, Saturday’s weather was nice, but a little warm. Sunday’s intermittent rain certainly sent people running for cover! Overall, crowds were down a little, but thank Heaven people DO still come to Little Italy for the Festival! They come for the good food, Bingo and to make memories!

Let me first thank our VOLUNTEERS for all their hard work during the Festival weekend…
Tony and Elinor in the kitchen..
John and Martha Calabrese outside all day for two whole days selling merchandise…
Cindy, Guy and Carol for selling merchandise inside…
Pat for all her hard work ordering our food and supplies…
Theresa and Chris at the bar…

And, all the countless volunteers doing anything that was asked of them:
Bill, Susan, MaryAnn, Mike D., Shannon, Tom, Frank…

And, anyone else that I might have left out in error…

As we go into September, I hope with children returning to school and parents gearing up for football and homework, we see you at the Lodge for our “Family Back to School Friday Night Dinner,” We also hope to see you at our Annual Crab Feast where tickets are rapidly selling out! It will be held on September 22 beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Lots of events for your family to enjoy… We hope to see you soon!! God Bless and stay safe… watch out for the children back in school…
