My Fellow Paisans, As we are now full swing into a beautiful Fall and quickly barreling towards the holiday season, I want to remind everyone it’s that time of year to truly count your blessings and realize how fortunate we are to be Italian Americans.
So far, it’s been an interesting Fall, from a successful crab feast and Italian Heritage Day to a very successful Sunday Family Dinner. We are very grateful for everyone that supports the Lodge and our events and as a reminder we are always looking to grow our volunteer base. From waiting on tables or working in the kitchen on a Friday night to helping with Bingo on the third Sunday of the month. We are so fortunate to be able to give of our time freely in America to promote our Italian heritage. I often wonder, as a proud Italian, why more people don’t do it. We are always ready to put you work and have some fun. Show your pride. Let us know today!!!
It’s also a thought that if you are unable to donate your physical time to the lodge, we are always grateful to accept donations at the lodge. Items such as hand soap and hand sanitizer for our restrooms, wicker baskets for our bread on our Sunday Family Dinner and even cleaning supplies to keep the Lodge in impeccable shape are all welcome. We will always cheerfully accept your time or donations to keep the Lodge sailing smoothly into the future. If you’d like to make a donation of any type, please let us know. Donations, when genuine and unencumbered, are always appreciated.
Please realize that in life, you should know what’s important. Not fight over petty issues. Life is too short, cherish it. It is so precious and so short. Be kind to others…there is no room for negativity here. We are so very blessed. Have a wonderful November and please, please be kind to one another. Enjoy every minute of your life…tomorrow is never guaranteed.
