Recipients of The Thomas J. D'Alesandro Award

From 1988 through 2000, the Little Italy Lodge presented The Thomas J. D'Alesandro, Jr., Good Citizen Award at a gala ball.
It honored the memory of the former Congressman and Baltimore City Mayor and was given to an individual of Italian heritage for contributions to the Italian community
.
In 1991, the award was given to the three individuals who supervised the construction of the new Lodge Home.
The 15 award recipients were:
1988: J. Henry Butta, president of the C & P Telephone Co.
1989: Nicholas Mangione, developer, owner of Turf Valley Country Club.
1990: Edward J. Angeletti, Judge and former president of State Lodge.
1991: Joseph Campitelli, Raymond Marocco and Guy Matricciani, principal individuals involved in construction of new Lodge Home.
1992: Tony Pagnotti, Baltimore television personality.
1993: Michael DiLiello, insurance executive.
1994: Mary Apicella, former Lodge president.
1995: Joseph D'Adamo, Sr., Lodge officer and journalist.
1996: Stephen Geppi, publisher of Baltimore Magazine and comic book king,
1997: John A. Pica, Sr., former Baltimore City Councilman.
1998: (posthumously) Rev. Oreste Pandola, former pastor of St. Leo's.
1999: Michael J. Pastore, president of wholesale grocery business.
2000: Dr. Anthony Marchione, Superintendent of Baltimore Co. schools.
